Dear President Duterte,

Good day, Mr. President! The reason behind this letter is to express my gratitude to you for all the good things that you have done for the country. We know you've been working very hard to ensure the well-being of your countrymen. In addition, this letter is also for the purpose of expressing my thoughts on you and your approach to leading the country. I hope you see this letter as an opportunity to improve.

I believe you are doing your very best to provide quality service to us Filipinos. Illegal drugs have always been a problem in the country, and dealing with them has brought the country one step closer to development. However, we can't help but disagree with some of your country-wide decisions. For instance, this pandemic has been with us for more than a year, with cases continuing to rise despite the establishment of vaccination centers. Moreover, the use of guns by firemen is absurd and extremely dangerous. With reports of police killing the innocent, it is evident that some are abusing their power and are not wielding their influence properly. Firemen do not require firearms to fight the fire. Violence is not always the solution to every problem. You are responsible for every Filipino's life, and this decision may harm your people, which is why it is crucial not to rush any decision because it may have a long-term impact on your country.

To sum up, we are very much grateful for everything you have done for the entire country. We thank you for being an active president throughout your presidency. Nonetheless, please listen to the voices of your countrymen as they will indicate what needs to be improved for the betterment of the country. This will not only benefit us, but it will also leave a special lesson that you will remember for the rest of your life. Again, thank you for your service, and keep safe.

Sincerely,
Roanne A. Alimboyoguen
