The Fiesta Goes On!

Vigan City has one of the best festival celebrations. The city comes to life as people gather to watch street dances and other activities made especially for the festival celebration. However, our movements are limited due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The term "new normal" was coined to describe a situation in which some of our usual behaviors are prohibited. People were disappointed because festival celebrations are one of the most awaited events. Even though our movements are restricted, the fiesta celebrations continue, but we must comply with health protocols since we are now in the new normal.

Fiesta celebrations are very fun and exciting since they are a special occasion for the community. We eagerly await for this time of the year to come because of the joy it brings us each year. Despite the pandemic, the Vigan City government is doing everything they can to continue the celebration of the festival. They ensure that everyone follows the health protocols in order to have a safe but enjoyable celebration. Although it may not be the same as we were accustomed to, the fact that we can celebrate is the most important thing. We must be optimistic and believe that everything will return to normal in God's perfect timing. This is only a temporary situation, and we shall be able to celebrate without worrying about becoming infected again someday. But, for the time being, we must try to help prevent the spread of the virus by being responsible so that we can bring back the old normal.

In this time of pandemic, it may appear that celebrating fiestas is neither easy nor fun. You may, however, make it more enjoyable by having a positive attitude towards it. Consider it as a lesson that we must appreciate every moment of our lives and cherish our memories because it may take months, years, or worse, we may never be able to experience it again. We must do our best to stop the virus from infecting other people. By doing so, we can achieve a better life and a brighter future.

  1. Good day! I agree that staying optimistic and positive will help us in celebrating our beloved holiday during the pandemic. I also like how you said that we must cherish every moment in our life as if it's our last. Anyways, this is a very well-written and heart-warming blog.
