True Heroes

            Not many have the courage to speak up, defend, and make a difference for the good of their country. Bravery allows a country to stand tall and show other countries that we are not easily defeated. Even if we fail, the fact that we tried is what's important. True heroes are people who make wise decisions to protect and defend their country and its people no matter what happens, and the historical battle of Bataan is an excellent example to show the bravery of Filipinos.             The Day of Valor, also known as Araw ng Kagitingan, is a national observance in the Philippines that commemorates the fall of Bataan to Japanese troops during World War II and is honored every April 9.              As the first day of Lent, Ash Wednesday is one of the most important liturgical days. Catholics received ash crosses on March 2, 2022, as the Church encouraged them to repent and believe in the Gospel.
