Doing My Part

Image
As young as I am now, it is critical for me to understand the various concerns in our community so that I may contribute to the improvement and prevention of different issues. It is our responsibility as an individual to care for the things around us that are necessary for our survival. For instance, we must do our best to keep our surroundings green since plants and trees provide us with different necessities, such as food and clean, fresh air. Changes in our environment can be seen over time, and these should not be disregarded because little indicators might imply dangerous consequences if not addressed immediately. Hence, we must protect our environment at all costs in order for it to continuously provide us with our needs and for future generations to witness its beauty.          Waste management is still an issue in many communities. Some people still throw their trash everywhere, clogging canals and making the ...

What A Ride

A quarter is again coming to an end, and thankfully, I made it through junior high. I am excited for the new experiences that await me as I enter senior high. The lessons I've received and the experiences I've had will always hold a special place in my heart. I am grateful to the people who were a part of my junior high learning journey. Someday, I'll show them that what I've learned for the past years has been put to good use.   This quarter, I learned about Microsoft FrontPage. Microsoft FrontPage is a discontinued What You See Is What You Get HTML editor and website administration tool for the Microsoft Windows operating system. From 1997 to 2003, it was marketed as a part of the Microsoft Office suite. Microsoft FrontPage has since been replaced by Microsoft Expression Web and SharePoint Designer, which were released in December 2006 alongside Microsoft Office 2007. However, these two products were also discontinued in favor of a web-based...

A Daughter’s First Love

Image
Both mothers and fathers work together to raise their children with love and support. A father ensures a good future for his family by working hard to meet their basic needs. Every parent prioritizes their children over themselves, and a father would go to any length to protect and defend his family. Their only weakness is seeing their loved ones suffer, and I consider myself very lucky to have him as my father. One who is brave and strong and goes above and beyond to give the best for the family.           Father's Day is a day when we can express our appreciation for all of their sacrifices and hard work for the family by celebrating with them. Sonora Smart Dodd, who was born in Arkansas and whose father, a Civil War veteran, raised her and her five siblings after their mother died in childbirth, founded Father's Day at the YMCA in Spokane, Washington in 1910. She is reported to have gotten the idea in 1909 while li...

Remembering The Sacrifices of The National Heroes

We all want to live in a peaceful country where we are able to do things with freedom and fight for our rights. As a citizen, I only wish the best for my nation and its people. As we observe changes in our country and the whole world, let us not be affected by this and continue to do what is best. It is good to get along well with various people and countries in order to form social connections. This connection will benefit both sides, and it is crucial to promote peace and spread love rather than hate.         Each country has its own unique story. For over 300 years, the Philippines was a Spanish colony, and is named after King Philip II of Spain. The Fourth of July used to be considered a significant national holiday in the Philippines because it was Philippine Independence Day in 1946. The road to July 4, 1946, was long and perilous. On Independence Day, national heroes' sacrifices are remembered, and the country's ...
